Senator Fran Pavley endorses Calabasas City Council Candidate Jody Thomas

State Senator Fran Pavley announced her support Thursday of Jody Thomas in her race for Calabasas City Council. Pavley praised Thomas’ long history of community activism and passion for public service.

"I know Jody Thomas as a strong voice for the community and know she will be a committed champion on environmental and quality of life issues.” Pavley said, “I look forward to working with her as an elected member of the Calabasas City Council."

Thomas proudly accepted the endorsement from the Senator, whom she called a role model as a progressive icon with deep roots and support in the community.

"Senator Pavley is one of the most respected leaders our State has ever had,” said Thomas. “Her work on the environment, education, supporting small businesses, and public safety has greatly benefited us not only in Calabasas, but throughout the State. Her support of my campaign is very meaningful to me personally, as she is someone I have long admired. I know the voters in Calabasas will take her support of my candidacy very seriously.”

This important endorsement is just the first in a series of endorsements Thomas’ campaign will announce in the coming weeks. Thomas enjoys the backing of a wide array of community leaders; from environmental groups, local homeowner associations, community leaders, to the city’s first responders.
