Dr. Nersisyan is a graduate of Southern California College of Optometry. She received her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Physics from California State University, Northridge in 2006. Her optometric experience includes externships at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona and Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles. Understanding the importance and role of ethics in optometry, she was the recipient of the Ethics Endowed Scholarship in 2008.<br><br>Currently she practices full-scope optometry in southern California. In addition to primary care, pediatrics, and contact lenses, she is glaucoma certified and licensed to treat ocular diseases. Dr. Nersisyan is a current member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association. She is active in community service and has volunteered as an optometrist for the Special Olympics and participated in several vision screenings. In support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, she recently formed a team, "Dr. Nersisyan's Fight for Sight" which participates in the annual walkathon, VisionWalk.<br><br>In addition to English, she speaks fluent Armenian. And in her spare time she enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and family, and enjoys the outdoors with her husband, Chris, and Great Pyrenees, Leo.
