One of our family treasures. My daughter, Molly, was unimpressed, however, and did a greatRead More impersonation of his "Hah, Ahm Hoowell Howser, etc." which in turn became a special memory for me. We promise ourselves to visit at least one of his special places.

Downtown's Grand Performances presented David "conversation" with Alan Warner at theRead More California Plaza a few summers ago. Glad I got a chance to see this and to hear David explain he had no reason to write a song about San Jose. He "just wanted to."

Margot devoted her life to making things better for us all. I hope that some part of the SM NationalRead More Recreation area can be named after her so future generations will know who left this magnificent legacy.

Around 1984 I was working as a bartender in the American Airline VIP lounge at LAX when her flightRead More was delayed for several hours. Both she and the two people traveling with her were very kind and polite. Seeing how beautiful she was up close was really something beauty but her inner beauty seemed to radiate. Her attire was simply elegant and she was wearing that incredible Richard Burton rock.

She used my Dad's office as her dressing room when she was shooting on location at Whittier College.Read More She asked to meet him so she could thank him personally for giving up his office. He was really blown away -- said she was incredibly gracious. I remember him also commenting on how tiny she was and on her incredible eyes. Clearly a Movie Star of the variety we just don't have anymore. --David Nichols
