If they truly want to make a difference in water usage they would target the city and stateRead More governments who continue to approve new high density residential building. Every time they approve another new development project they are adding to the drain on water. And, fracking needs to stop. Forcing millions of gallons of water and chemicals under pressure into wells in California is a dangerous travesty. Not only does the process of fracking use water, it contaminates the ground water. Yes there is a drought but it is our city and state government who can make a difference, but they continue to build new housing and frack wells to encourage oil production. It is all about money.

City of Huntington Beach is letting a contractor put in a 276 unit complex on Beach and Ellis Ave.Read More Three story underground parking for over 400 cars. Also included are commercial stalls. Where is the water coming from? Did the dumb bells talk to God and he said o.k. I will supply you with rain water? Next. The city is digging up concrete sidewalks to plant trees. Trees need to be watered twice a week. The truck delivers water for them. But their is a water shortage???? lol lol The idiots have no idea how to run a city. Wait until they try to get re-elected! I could care less about conserving.

Where's the water?Read More -- San Diego County over built for their water and now purchase water from the farm leases in the Imperial Valley. Why does he come here so much? I don't think any president in recent memory has been to SouthernRead More California as often as this one, and Reagan doesn't count because he had his ranch out here when he was president. I think he likes to spend a little too much time hobnobbing with celebrities who will give him the fawning attention he craves and is not getting too much from nowadays from the country as a whole. His visits also tie up traffic. Notice his wife also never comes out here with him when he makes his numerous visits.

I was pulling for the Rangers as they were really playing a good game. would have enjoyed theRead More series to continue a bit longer. A bit anti climactic. I sad when the Kings won. Have we really thought this thing out? Have we forgotten some important things? I'm just saying.Read More One thing that separates America from other parts of the world is that we are free to be racists, homophones, vegetarians, "Flat Earthers", etc., especially in the privacy of our own living rooms. No one is arguing in favor of what Sterling said...but a lot of people died so that he had the (right) to say it. After all, he didn't call a press conference and use the "N" word... I heard today on CNN that some old footage of present owners is being evaluated...there is an owner who is against gay marriage and he has supported causes that are trying to outlaw gay marriage. They were reviewing this to see if it was grounds for being banned. Are you kidding me...? What is the litmus test going to be? Have we even stopped to notice that rapists are attending NBA games, convicted ones...there are very likely rapists playing in NBA games (duh). There are convicted pedophiles who can buy a seat to any NBA game of his choice. Even paroled murderers are given the right to attend games, but, an owner who says something stupid in his living room is being fined $2.5 million and told he has to sell his assets and ...banned for life? Where is the consistency? Where does it say in the bylaws of ownership that you are not allowed to say (this or that)? I know there is explicit language forbidding gambling but is Silver just making this up as he goes along to satisfy people who are upset? I would be upset too if I was a black NBA player...but not for very long....and here is why...because racism exists...it exists in corporate America, almost certainly among other owners, fans...heck, Kobe Bryant used a very derogatory homophobic term to define a referee whose call he didn't like. Where was the outrage then...100k fine? Did gay people call for the NBA to stop playing games? Where is the language gestapo to tell us what we can say in our own bathrooms and bedrooms? This is a little slippery. Remember Jackie Robinson? He didn't try to litigate against everyone who treated him poorly and without dignity..he just kept his head held high and he kept his cool..the way MLK did. If I was the NBA I would have asked Sterling to consider selling the team, then I would have had a distinguished player, Magic, or Julius Erving, etc, hold a press conference saying that, "though we find these statements made in private by Mr. Sterling to be an insult to....etc, .....we aren't going to break a sweat...we are going to march on and play basketball and let poor behavior stand for poor behavior...we have seen this before and we will likely see this again..but, we march on. I'm not sure the NBA has a legal foot to stand on....and I think it is likely that Sterling will assemble his team of lawyers and remind the NBA of such..... Who among us would be comfortable having all of our private statements actions aired out on the public stage? We are free in this country, all free....even free to be fools.
