Calabasas City Council

<p>The Calabasas City Council is comprised of five council members who are elected by local voters to four-year terms. Elections are held in March in odd-numbered years.</p> <p>Council members elect a mayor among themselves to a one-year term and to act as the official representative of city hall. In addition, the mayor presides over council meetings and executes legal instruments and documents.</p> <p>The City Council enacts ordinances and resolutions that govern the city, authorizes contracts on behalf of the city and appoints the city manager, route: {:controller=>"listings", :action=>"show", :id=>"city-managers-office"} --> as well as the <!-- name: city attorney.</p> <p>Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the council chambers inside City Hall.
