Reyes Adobe Days Promises Weekend of Fun

The grounds of the historic ranch in Agoura Hills will overflow with art, music, food, drink and children's activities at the 9th annual Reyes Adobe Days festival.

The 9th annual Reyes Adobe Days in Agoura Hills promises a long weekend of fun with live entertainment, food and drink, children's activities, art and the traditional Saturday morning parade.

The annual parade along Reyes Adobe Road with 45 entires begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday. ABC7's Elex Michaelson, originally from Agoura Hills, will be this year's grand marshal.

There is musical entertainment throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Local artists and artisans display their works on the grounds and in the park throughout the event. This year, the gallery in the barn of the historic grounds will feature original artwork from artists selected to participate.

Food at the event ranges from pancakes for breakfast, to barbecue and Mexican specialties for lunch, to kettle corn and snow cones for snacks, to beer and wine tasting in the afternoon.

Children will have an opportunity to experience adobe life through traditional hands-on activities such as tortilla grinding, soap making and old-fashioned laundry. A blacksmith will make horseshoes and other traditional items.

Most events take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Parking with continuous shuttle service is available Saturday and Sunday at these locations:

  • Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
  • Reyes Adobe Park, 30400 Rainbow Crest Drive
  • Mediterranea I Medical Complex, 30423 Canwood Street
