About 25 volunteers helped to plant several dozen trees at on Saturday during an Arbor Day celebration.
Participants planted small oak tree spouts that would take years to grow, but would not require regular watering.
The community service tradition has been taking place for nearly a decade and some of the original sprouts and grown to about four to five feet tall.
