Celebrity Basketball Game to Bring Anti-Bullying Awareness
In celebration of Anti-Bullying Awareness Month in October, which was proclaimed by the City Council, the community is invited to the 1st Annual Rock Life Anti-Bullying Celebrity Basketball Game on Saturday, September 7, from 2-6 p.m. at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center.
Mitch “The Rock” Richmond, in partnership with Calabasas Mayor pro Tem David Shapiro, presents The Launch of Rock Life to redefine strong anti-bullying awareness campaigns and its proclamation of the ban on bullying in Calabasas.
“Rock Life is a national movement dedicated to bringing awareness to the seriousness of bullying and related issues like depression, eating disorders, obesity, self-mutilation and suicide," Richmond said. "Using multi-media outlets and Entertainment Therapy, we help participants build self-esteem, create healthy relationships, and navigate the ups and downs of life with courage and confidence.

The goal is to help youth feel more self-assured, supported, connected and empowered to celebrate their lives.”
Scheduled to appear are the NBA's Bryon Russell, Chris Mullin, Gilbert Arenas, Lamon Murray, Tim Hardaway, Tracy Murray and Tyronn Lue; NFL's Erik Dickerson, Marcelleous Wiley, Matthew Hatchette, Terrell Owens and Willie Mack; actors Columbus Short and “Flex” Alexander and comedian Chris Spencer.

The game, which takes place at 27040 Malibu Hills Road, is free to the public.
