Camp David Gonzales High School Team Early Leaders in Three-Day Solar-Powered Boat Competition Begins

The Camp David Gonzales High School team, sponsored by the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, is among the preliminary leaders for qualifying Friday in the Metropolitan Water District’s 11th annual Solar Cup™ heading into the three-day competition, according to the HeraldOnline.com. 

The competition involves solar-powered boats built by students from 39 high schools in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties, the report said.
