Sharpshooter Makes Seven 3-pointers in First Half

Coyote Megan Charles scores 28 points in the biggest came of her high school career.

Megan Charles put on a stellar performance on Jan. 27 in a game against Agoura High School, making seven 3-pointers in the first half alone.

Despite the Coyotes' 70-49 loss, the junior shooting guard scored 28 points and was mentioned on NBC 4 news for her sharpshooting.

"I started hitting the first couple, but then I was just open, nobody played defense so I kept shooting and they all kept going in," Charles said.

Charles, who wants to play college ball someday, said a recent injury that sidelined her limited her practices to mainly shooting around.

"I've just been perfecting my shot for the past three or four months," she said.

The Coyotes are 7-20 so far this season.
