CHS Administration: Construction Not Causing Traffic Delays

Work on the performing arts center is underway, but that hasn't been the reason for Mulholland Drive backups, an assistant principal says.

A loud bulldozer rumbled by, partially obscured by a green construction fence, and moved loose soil from one pile of earth to another.

Nearby, another heavy machine ripped dirt from the ground as a worker stood close to measure the progress with a tall ruler.

Construction on the Coyotes' performing arts center is well underway, but hasn't been the reason for Mulholland Drive traffic as some parents have complained, according to administrators.

"The traffic isn't really a construction problem in our eyes," said Assistant Principal Brian Mercer. "The problem is it's a school and during school hours—half an hour before school and half an hour after school—is when we're seeing some traffic."
