Tackle Your Trickiest Rainy Weather Hair Woes

Tips for managing hair on rainy days.

Many of us tend to think of summer as the time that's toughest on our locks, thanks to all that exposure to sunlight (UV rays), chlorine, and saltwater. But rainy weather comes with its own set of weather-induced frustrations, like dry scalp, and staticy locks. Here are some fast solutions.

A change in weather can cause your scalp to become flaky. In the winter, there's less humidity in the air, which can dry out your scalp. To avoid a dry scalp, wash your hair less often. Using a dry shampoo will not only help with your dry scalp but also keep your color from fading. Try 7seconds Dry Shampoo. Water and the detergents in your shampoo can be drying. You'll want to switch to a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is color treated make sure your shampoo is made for colored hair.

Do you look like you just got electrocuted after brushing? Static happens when your hair picks up an electrical charge from the dry air. It's common in the chillier months because the air is less moist everywhere. Fight it by wrapping your hairbrush in a fabric softener dryer sheet.
