Sen. Pavley Leads Opponent Zink in Fundraising

The incumbent garners about $30K more than her opponent between May and June.

Democratic State Sen. Fran Pavley led in campaign fundraising in recent months against Todd Zink, the GOP challenger for a seat in California's 27th Senate District, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Zink, a deputy district attorney and Westlake Village resident, garnered $76,165 from May 20 to June 30, totaling his campaign checking account at $81,051, according to the Times.

Pavley, a resident of Agoura Hills who is seeking her second term in the state senate, raised $111,416 during the same time frame, bringing her fundraising total to $832,887.

Despite Pavley's lead, Zink edged out the incumbent in California's June primary by 1,267 votes.

The runoff election is being held on Nov. 6.
