Fred Gaines, Lucy Martin Clinch Council Seats With Final Vote Count
The last provisional ballots and vote by mail ballots are counted Monday.
The final provisional and vote by mail ballots from the were counted Monday and secured seats on the for top vote-getters Fred Gaines and Lucy Martin.
Gaines earned the most votes with 1,387, while Martin garnered 1,361.
The two will be sworn in as council members on March 23. Gaines and Martin will replace outgoing Mayor Barry Groveman and Mayor Pro Tem Dennis Washburn.
