City Council to Consider Abolishing the Sale and Purchase of Anticoagulant Rodenticides in Calabasas

City staff is recommending that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2013-1379, opposing the sale, purchase and use of anticoagulant rodenticides in Calabasas at Wednesday night's meeting.

According to city documentation, the products contain active ingredients that cause lethal internal hemorrhaging in the animals that ingest the poison.

There has been some concerns regarding the poisoning of wildlife and domestic animals resulting from the use of the rodenticides at local homes or businesses.

The City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in council chambers.
