City Council Agenda: Hidden Hills Wants to Partner With Calabasas, LVUSD for Library Services

City staff members are recommending that the City Council allow the City of Hidden Hills to partner with Calabasas and the school district for library services at Wednesday night's meeting .

According to documentation, Hidden Hills passed a resolution to withdraw from the County of Los Angeles Free Public Library System in 2012 and will effectively assume responsibility for providing public library services to its residents on July 1.

As part of the partnership, Hidden Hills will provide funds to the City of Calabasas for supplemental library services and for the purchase of digital books and materials that are chosen by the Las Virgenes School District for use by its students and teachers, in addition to the general public.

The meeting takes place at 8 p.m. in council chambers.
