Calabasas Heads to the Polls

Residents share their choices for the gubernatorial and senate races, as well as some important propositions.

Calabasas voters began filing into polling places around 7 a.m. on Tuesday to cast their ballots for a new governor, a U.S. Senate Race, a seat on the board of directors for the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, and a laundry list of propositions.

Most of the residents Patch spoke with at the or voted for Democratic candidate Jerry Brown over Republican hopeful Meg Whitman in the race for governor of California.

Of the voters who stopped to talk to Patch by mid-day, more said they voted yes on Proposition 19, which would legalize the sale of marijuana in the state.
