Three incumbents on the Calabasas City Council plan to run for office in March, according to reports.
The candidate filing period began Nov. 13 and runs through Dec. 7.
The seats for Calabasas Mayor Mary Sue Maurer and Councilmembers James Bozajian and David Shapiro are up for reelection. All three recently told The Acorn they want back on the council.
Maurer was elected in 2005 and pointed to her success of balancing the city's budget, supporting schools and preserving open space. She said she wants to focus more on seniors if she is reelected, according to the newspaper.
Bozajian was elected in 1997 and said he wants to focus on the city's fiscal health, the newspaper reported.
Shapiro, who also wants to run, was appointed to the council in January when former Councilmember Jonathon Wolfson moved out of the city.
No challengers have pulled papers.
