Just when Calabasas got rid of Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez moves to the neighborhood and promptly attracts a stalker.
A 20-year-old transient was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Calabasas home recently purchased by singer/actress Selena Gomez, a sheriff's sergeant said today.
Gomez, 21, returned to her $3 million home in the 5100 block of Garrett Court with friends around 9:25 p.m. Sunday when they heard a noise, according to Sgt. Fray Lupian of the sheriff's Malibu-Lost Hills Station. A short time later, a man knocked at the door and asked if Gomez was home.
Gomez's friend who had answered the door slammed it shut, Lupian said.
Gomez's security staff was notified and searched the property, finding a man in the guest house and detaining him until deputies arrived.
The suspect was identified as Cruz Che. He was arrested for suspicion of burglary and is being held on $50,000 bail.
