Theft at Farmers Market; Vehicle Burglary at the Commons

An iPhone and other belongings are stolen from a vendor; a set of Titleist golf clubs are taken from a parked vehicle.

Personal items stolen at Calabasas Farmers Market

An iPhone and more than $500 in cash were stolen from a vendor at the Calabasas Farmers Market on Saturday, according to sheriff's deputies.

The theft occurred sometime around 1:15 p.m., the end of the business day, deputies said.

An employee manning the Forbidden Fruit Orchards booth said she placed the day's earnings, about $550, her iPhone and a credit card scanner adapter in a blue pouch. She placed the pouch on the counter of her kiosk and before walking "a few stalls" away to barter with another vendor, a deputy's report read.

When she returned, the pouch was missing, the report read.

The victim questioned everyone she could find but was unable to find out who took her bag.

Golf clubs stolen from car

About $700 worth of Titleist golf clubs were stolen from a vehicle that was parked overnight at the , deputies said.

The vehicle burglary happened sometime between 11 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 15, according to a deputy's report.

Deputies were unable to find any signs of forced entry. The victim said he had locked his doors prior to leaving his car and that the thief may have used a prying device to gain entry.

The burglar also made off with a silver men's Armani watch worth $200, a $50 subwoofer and a $200 pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses.
