Reward to be Offered in Gavin Smith Disappearance

The Fox distribution executive went missing more than a month ago.

The family of missing Fox distribution executive Gavin Smith will announce Tuesday they are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts, CBS reports.

Smith, 57, was last seen driving away from a family friend's home in Oak Park on the night of May 1.

Deputies and volunteers have combed nearby areas, according to the Los Angeles Times. Authorities say they do not suspect foul play.

Smith worked out of a Calabasas office, but his family said he hadn't gone there since he went missing.

His family has not elaborated on why he was staying at a friend's house, but his son, Evan Smith, tweeted on April 14 that his father had left their West Hills household.

But later, in an interview with E! News, Evan Smith said his parents were "just going through normal stuff couples go through."

Neighbor Carlos Lima told CBS that Gavin Smith is a devoted father and that his disapperance is out of character.

Gavin Smith is 6 feet 6, weighs 210 pounds and has a goatee and gray hair with blonde streaks. He was last seen wearing purple athletic pants. The license plate number for his black 2000 Mercedes 420-E is 6EKT044.
