CHP Seeks Help Finding Hit-and-Run Suspects
The accidents occurred on Aug. 21 and Sept. 1 in Topanga Canyon.
California Highway Patrol officers sought the public's help today in finding suspects in separate hit-and-run accidents in Topanga Canyon that killed a dog and left a 60-year-old Van Nuys man critically injured.

Motorway at about 8:10 p.m. Aug. 21 when they were struck by a dark-colored dirt bike with a loud exhaust, CHP Officer Leland Tang said. The dog died, and the woman suffered what the CHP called "moderate" injuries.
On Sept. 1 at about 12:10 p.m. on Topanga Canyon Boulevard at Viewridge
Road, bicycle rider Gary Morris of Van Nuys was in a collision with a 1996-2000
model Range Rover on Topanga Canyon Boulevard at Viewridge Road when he was struck by a 1996-2000 Range Rover, Tang said. The SUV's right, front-end may be damaged, he said.
