Police Blotter: Pilfered Coach Bags and Figurines

A collection of various kinds of figurines are among some of the burglarized items reported in the last few weeks.

Several burglaries were reported in the past few weeks with stolen goods ranging from Coach bags to collective figurines.

A Burglar/Coach Admirer

More than $400 in Coach apparel was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 24000 block of Park Sorrento.

The vehicle burglary occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 and 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 2, according to Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Deputies.

The victim reported that the suspect smashed the driver side window of her rented 2011 Chevy Traverse to gain entry.

The car's alarm did not sound during the break in.

The burglar made off with a few Coach purses that the victim said she did not use anymore and was unsure of what they contained.

A $400 Michael Kors handbag was also stolen.

Deputies were unable to locate any witnesses.

A Collection of Figurines Disappear, Collectively

A suspect made off with several collectible figurines as well as other decorations from a home in the 23000 block of Mulholland Highway.

The burglary occurred sometime between 7 a.m. on June 7 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 26.

The victim had undergone major surgery and remained in the hospital until June 14 and did not notice the belongings were missing until she went through photos of the interior of her residence, according to deputies.

She had hired only one individual to care for her house while she was gone.

Deputies did not find any evidence of a break in.

Among the stolen items were two ceramic Lladro figurines valued at $400, a $100 colonial figurine, and a glass vase.

An Unlocked Car: The Ideal Safe Deposit Box

A vehicle burglar stole $3,000 in US currency as well as laptop and other items from an unlocked 2007 GMC Yukon parked at the Calabasas Country Club.

After returning to his car around 4:40 p.m., the victim noticed that the driver side passenger door was ajar.

Thirty $100 bills were stolen, as well as a $1,500 Dell laptop, a $300 leather briefcase and a $100 Coach wallet.

The victim also reported that his stolen American Express card was charged $550 at a Target in Woodland Hills.

There were no surveillance cameras in the vicinity.
