Firefighters Quickly Douse Brush Fire

Several helicopters aggressively attack the blaze in 5 mph winds in Calabasas.

Firefighters quickly doused an acre brush fire in Calabasas Tuesday.

The blaze broke out at 2:17 p.m. near Mireau Road and Ahmanson Ranch Road in Calabasas, according to L.A. County Fire dispatch.

Several firefighters and helicopters aggressively attacked the flames, which were under control by 2:52 p.m., according to the fire department.

White and gray smoke was seen in the area and crews will remain on scene for cleanup.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
