Drug Enforcement Agency Serves 25-Location Warrant

A Calabasas residence was included in the narcotics-based search.

A Calabasas home was searched in connection with a Drug Enforcement Agency warrant Tuesday.

The warrant, the result of a joint effort between the Hawthorne Police Department and the DEA, included approximately 25 locations from San Francisco to Los Angeles, according to Hawthorne Police Lt. Scott Swain. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was called in to help as well due to the multiple locations involved, Swain said.

The searches, which took place simultaneously at 11:30 a.m., yielded three arrests and authorities recovered money, weapons and narcotics, according to Swain, who was still processing evidence and could not verify what items were taken from which location.

Swain also could not verify the exact location of the Calabasas search, but witnesses said the action took place in the 23000 block of Mullholland Highway, across the street from Viewpoint School.
