Diamond Rings Stolen; Public Storage Unit Burglarized

Two diamond rings are stolen in a home burglary; someone breaks into a Public Storage unit.

High-end rings stolen in home burglary

A safe storing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 25900 block of of Manley Court, according to Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's deputies.

The burglary occurred sometime between 2 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 25 while the homeowner was away from the property, deputies said.

Someone smashed the sliding glass door of the master bedroom to gain entry, according to a deputy's report.

A safe containing a $20,000 3-karat diamond and white gold ring, an $8,000 1.5-karat diamond ring and $1,500 in cash was removed from a cabinet inside the master bathroom, the report read.

The safe's electronic keypad was found in an uninhabited ravine adjacent from the burglarized property, authorities said.

Deputies were unable to find any witnesses.

Burglary at Public Storage

A home theater surround sound system and other belongings were stolen from a storage unit at on Ventura Boulevard, according to deputies.

The theft happened sometime between 6 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 22, deputies said.

On Nov. 22, the victim went to her storage unit to retrieve some items and noticed that the padlock to her locker had been changed, a deputy's report read.

When the manager opened the locker, the victim noticed several of her belongings were missing, the report read.

Skate deterrents stolen

Skate deterrents installed to prevent trespassing skateboarders from riding at an office property in the 26600 block of Agoura Road were recently stolen, according to deputies.

The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 23 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 28, deputies said.

The property manager told authorities that the deterrents were installed two weeks ago to keep out skateboarders, which have a history of damaging the property. The deterrents, which are 5-inch round pieces of metal, were pried out of the concrete, a deputy's report read.

There are no security cameras at the location, deputies said.
