Court Date Set for Burglary Suspects

James Papazian, David Valencia and Adi Sayas are accused of stealing jewelry, computers and video game consoles from homes in gated communities of Calabasas and Hidden Hills.

An Oct. 25 court date has been set for three men who allegedly burglarized homes in the gated communities of Calabasas and Hidden Hills.

West Hills residents James Papazian, 22, David Valencia, 21, and Adi Sayas, 22, were arrested in July on suspicion of committing a string of burglaries between January and July.

The suspects gained entry to the gated Calabasas community known as the Prados by posing as residents and visitors, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.

They were eventually identified by surveillance footage, Lt. John Benedict said in a press release.

The three men are suspected of stealing jewelry, safes, computers and video game consoles that were immediately sold for cash, Benedict said.

Officers said some of the stolen items were found at the homes of Papazian and Valencia after the Lost Hills Station obtained search warrants.

Three counts of residential burglary were filed against Papazian and Valencia and two counts were filed against Sayas.

Papazian and Sayas were on probation for burglary at the time of their arrests. The suspects are scheduled to appear at the Malibu Courthouse.
