Burglars Enter Through Unlocked Back Door, Ransack Calabasas Home

Up to $8,500 in jewelry is snatched from the home on Dantes View Drive in Calabasas.

Burglars who entered a Calabasas home through an unlocked backyard door stole $8,500 in jewelry.

The burglary was reported on Jan. 10 on Dantes View Drive in Calabasas, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

A white pearl necklace worth $5,000 and a 60-year-old diamond, a pearl gold ring worth $3,500, according to investigators. A jewelry box was found left on the floor of the bathroom.
