Burglar Steals Cash Register From Calabasas Business

Recent crimes reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Calabasas.

A burglary was under investigation this week at a Calabasas business.

The burglary was reported on Feb. 1 at 26777 Agoura Road near Lost Hills Road, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

A register drawer with cash totaling $579 was taken by a burglar with dark hoodie sweater and gloves, surveillance video showed.

Before the manager could finish double checking the information, the man fled and drove of in a white two-door vehicle.

Took check to managers office, but he exited the store and drove away in a white two-door vehicle. 

Investigators determined the check was fraudulent and the account number was tied to a closed account.
