Assault and Robbery on Liberty Bell Road; $30K Wedding Ring Lost

An early morning robbery takes place near a school; a $30,000 wedding ring is reported missing after a trip to a local restaurant.

iPhone robbery on Liberty Bell Road

A man reported being struck on the head and robbed of his iPhone while he was standing at Liberty Bell Road and Declaration Avenue on Friday morning, said Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's deputies.

The robbery occurred around 7:50 a.m., deputies said.

The victim said he was dropped off at the intersection by his older sister and stood there for about five minutes waiting for school to begin.

The victim was facing south when he felt a blow to the back of the head and fell to the ground, according to deputies. The attacker allegedly reached into the victim’s right pocket, removed the iPhone and fled the scene.

The victim said he did not lose consciousness after being hit in the head and refused medical attention.

The robber was described as wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and having a tan complexion. No further details are available.

 $30K wedding ring lost

A woman who lost her $30,000 wedding ring on Feb. 15 says the last place she may have seen it was at according to authorities.

The victim told sheriff's deputies that she was dining at the restaurant between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. with her husband.

She believes the last place she saw her ring was the restaurant’s bathroom where may have removed it to wash her hands.

She did not notice the piece of jewelry was missing until she returned home. The victim contacted the restaurant’s manager, who reportedly did not see the ring, deputies said.

Deputies advised the woman to search for the ring at local pawnshops or Ebay.

The ring is described as being white gold with a 2-carat round diamond and four baguettes inlayed around the diamond.

Smash and grab on Park Sorrento

A $2,500 Macbook Pro, a $500 black nylon briefcase and an iPhone were stolen from a car parked in the 23000 block of Park Sorrento on Thursday, according to deputies.

The vehicle burglary took place sometime between 8:40 a.m. and 10:10 a.m., authorities said.

The burglar smashed the rear driver side window of the automobile to gain entry, added deputies.

The victim said he had left his phone charging in the car’s center console and left his briefcase, which contained the computer, on the rear passenger seat.

Vehicle break-in on Las Virgenes

A vehicle burglar smashed the rear driver side window of a parked 2002 BMW 325I to gain entry and made off with fashion accessories and electronics, deputies said.

Authorities said the theft occurred on Las Virgenes Road and Mulholland Highway on Feb. 12 sometime between 9:20 a.m. and 10:25 a.m.

The victim said she was on a walk during that time frame. Among the stolen items was a $100 beige Aldo purse, a $100 wallet with various credit cards, a black LG4 cell phone valued at $200, a $200 iPod and a pair of $300 Gucci sunglasses.

The victim canceled all of her credit cards by the time deputies arrived on the scene.
