Update, 11:14 a.m.:
 A suspected pipe bomb found on the northbound side of the Ventura (101) Freeway at Woodlake Avenue between Mulholland Drive/Valley Circle Boulevard and Shoup Avenue has been determined to be harmless, and all lanes of the freeway are reopening, says CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos.

Earlier bulletin: The California Highway Patrol has shut down the north and southbound lanes of the Ventura (101) Freeway between Mulholland Drive/Valley Circle Boulevard and Shoup Avenue Thursday mornoing because a suspicious capped pipe has been found on the shoulder of the highway, says CHP Officer Ed Jacobs.
