“Recreating Nature” Exhibit Meet the Artist Reception
When/Where: Sunday, February 26, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. American Jewish University, 15600 Mulholland Dr., Bel-Air
Why Go: “Recreating Nature,” a new art exhibit at the Platt and Borstein Galleries features the work of Lauren Evans, Carol Goldmark, and Jamie Sweetman, who draw on nature as their inspiration and reinterpret it in unexpected ways through the use of drawing, painting, and sculpture/installation.

Congressman Brad Sherman Town Hall Meeting
When/Where: Sunday, February 26, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Reseda High School, 18230 Kittridge Street, Reseda
Why Go: The Congressman will discuss the economy, taxes, housing, the national debt, education, Social Security and Medicare as well as other issues facing Congress. Most of the meeting will be devoted to Congressman Sherman listening and responding to questions from Valley residents. Sherman’s district office staff will be on hand to help constituents resolve any problems they may have with federal agencies, including the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
