- Why go: Chow down on some yummy food for a cause. Food trucks are all the rage so take advantage of a bunch all in one place while supporting Sumac's L-Stem program.
- Pricing: $5 admission per family, plus the cost of food.
- Ideal for: Families with children of all ages.

- Why go: The school year is almost upon us, and if you've been looking for a preschool for your little one, you should stop by the open house at Woodcrest. They'll have food, games, crafts and more!

4. 50th Anniversary Celebration
- Where/When: Oak Canyon Community Park, Saturday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m.
- Why go: Pack a picnic, a blanket and your family and head to the park for a fun-filled evening. Jammed pack with live music, games, competitions, crafts and fireworks, this 50th Anniversary Park District event is sure to impress.
- Pricing: Free, some food available for purchase.
- Ideal for: Families with children of all ages.
- Where/When: and Architecture, August 20-27. Check link for exact dates and times.
- Why go: If your family enjoys music and silent films, make a date to venture through the canyon for this annual event. Each night features a different musician or band from around the nation.
- Pricing: Free to attend but donations are appreciated.
- Ideal for: Families with children of all ages.
