Did you receive the piece from a candidate in the 30th District. He has a quote from Cyrus Wilkes (a local atty and former Sgt USMCR, Operation Iraqi Freedom Combat Veteran) offering support. BUT the picture to the left is not Cyrus. More than likely it is Michael La Vere. Who is Michael La Vere? Well if you go to Wings Over Wendy's in West Hills you would have met him. Captain Michael La Vere from World War II. The other gentleman is Art Sherman head of Wings over Wendy. Neither gentleman has given a public endorsement in the 30th Congressional race.
My father , like these two gentlemen, served honorably. He was a WW2 veteran serving in the Pacific. He was active in politics and had he been in alive in 2010 2012 and 2014 would have voted, supported, and asked you to vote for Mark Reed. Not someone hijacking veteran pictures.
Shame on you Pablo Kleinman. Shame on you Attorney Cyrus Wilkes.

So the candidate went to the MEMORIAL DAY parade took a few pictures...then he plastered them on a mailer (where he lied about his opponent) and didn't even give the guys the honor they deserve...and attributed a quote from someone else - an attorney who should know better. Where has this candidate been all these years? How has he served the veterans from WW2 he is exploiting? Ask Mark Reed the other REPUBLICAN candidate who regularly visits the Veteran facilities and KNOWS them and is fighting to protect the land and EARNED benefits.
Here is a legitimate endorsement from a veteran.

I have observed Mr. Reed to be a man of character and insight on how best to serve his constituents in our nation's legislative branch. I have heard Mr. Reed speak with great enthusiasm on he deeply desires to make our nation fiscally responsible and admired worldwide. I firmly believe that Mr. Reed is the future leadership that we need here in the San Fernando Valley.
