Recipe: Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches

These Ice Cream Sandwiches are easy and all natural. With a batch of Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies and a pint of all natural ice cream, you can feed your family the healthy taste of summer.

Summer is here and ice cream sandwiches will begin popping up as a fun and delicious summer dessert. Though many ice cream sandwich products may not fall into the all-natural catagory, with this recipe you can still have these sweet summer treats without compromising nutrition. Go ahead, have fun with your food!

Out of the Box Food Ice Cream Sandwiches

Ingredients:

    1 C whole wheat pastry flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/8 tsp sea salt
    1/2 C butter, very soft
    1/4 C granulated sugar
    1/2 C packed brown sugar
    2 tbsp water
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 pint vanilla ice cream (check ingredient label.  Only necessary ingredients are: cream, milk, sugar, eggs and vanilla )
