Meet Your Newest Neighbor

A baby lamb joins the sheep family at the Leonis Adobe Museum.

The flock of sheep at the welcomed a new member to its family Saturday, a black baby lamb.

The barnyard animal was born just a few hours before the museum's annual Easter egg hunt, said spokesperson Lois Julien.

One interesting note about this particular lamb is its color, given that its ewe (mother sheep) and other members of its family have a beige or oatmeal shade, Julien said.

The lamb is unnamed, just like all the other sheep at the Leonis Adobe.

Visitors can check out sheep and other animals at the museum's stables during regular business hours.
