Second Saturday Divorce Workshop

Going through divorce? Know someone who is?
In the same spirit of giving back, family law attorneys Lisa Zonder and Shane Loomis, along with Divorce Coach Theresa Heyes and Jerry Cohen, CPA, CDFA and Steve Garelick, CPA of Lorch & Co. have modeled the Ventura Chapter of “Second Saturday” after the game-changing original in San Diego, in order to help couples work apart and together in ending their marriages in a much less expensive and traumatic way.  In fact, the team’s specialty is “Collaborative Divorce:” a process providing a couple the support needed to resolve their divorce issues through use of an interdisciplinary team of professionals – it also requires a pledge not to go to court.  See secondsaturdaydivorceworkshop.org.
The newly formed Second Saturday Divorce, Mediation and Collaborative Workshop debuted January 2014.  Similar to Bahr and Wall’s original workshop, Ventura Second Saturday will address the legal, financial, family and personal issues of divorce in a logical, yet compassionate way.  With the guidance of trained professionals, participants will gain greater understanding of the confusing divorce process in a way that can often save money.
Second Saturday provides a great opportunity for men and women to acquire non-biased, straightforward information and options to help them focus on what they need to do legally and financially through difficult times.  They can also save everyone a whole lot of time, grief and money.
The Ventura Second Saturday team will pay homage to the Women’s Institute by donating a portion of the $45 workshop fee back to WIFE.org.
