Canine Classic Dog Walk & Festival 2014

The Canine Classic Dog Walk & Festival returns Sunday, April 27, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. to Juan Bautista de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road in Calabasas.

This fun-filled family fundraiser benefiting the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, the Calabasas Rotary, L.I.F.E. Animal Rescue and Healthcare for Homeless Animals will feature a two mile walk sponsored by Camp Bow Wow Agoura Hills through the crystal clear rolling hills of Calabasas. Route highlights will include rover rest stops with plenty of water, food and fun for pets of all kinds and their human companions. Registration is now open! But you don’t have to take part in the walk – or own a dog, for that matter – to attend and enjoy this rollicking event.

Admission is free to the Canine Classic Festival, featuring dog adoptions, guest judges, the area’s top food trucks, The Anza Beer Garden, Kid’s Activity Zone, a Silent Auction, Camp Bow Wow Dogs & Kids Storytime, Behavior Buddies Training Demo, plus a Vendor Fair with over 30 pet industry companies offering samples and special event deals. Dogs are welcome and they must be on leash.

These Main Stage events will certainly make crowds sit, stay and beg for more!

 Is your canine a fashionista? Strut your four-legged friend in their best outfit down the Project Dogway runway and compete to be the chic best.

 Does your pet have what it takes to join the likes of Lassie? Sign up for My Pet’s Got Talent, show off your canine’s special talent and let our guest judges decide! No singing, please.

These competitions require advance registration online at www.canineclassic.org. A $10 donation is required per entry, and each category is limited to 25 entries. Prizes include a weekend stay for you and your pet at The Anza - A Calabasas Hotel.
