A 74-year-old nun tragically lost her life Wednesday in a car crash on Mulholland Highway.

Sister Mary Campbell of Our Lady of Malibu Catholic Church was the sole victim of the accident, which happened when a vehicle driven by Douglas Kmiec, the U.S. ambassador to Malta, swerved off the road into a drainage ditch.

In annexation news, the Calabasas City Council decides to poll residents living just south of the city's borders to see if they would like to join the city.
