Week in Review: A Sad Ending for Mitrice Richardson

The biggest story of the week was the discovery of remains belonging to the 24-year-old Los Angeles native nearly a year after she went missing.

A nearly yearlong mystery ended in tragedy this week as skeletal remains found in a remote spot in Malibu were identified as belonging to Mitrice Richardson.

The 24-year-old Los Angeles native went missing after she was released from the custody of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station around 1 a.m. Sept. 17, 2009.
