Water District Board to Select Water Tank Location Tonight

The public is invited to attend tonight's meeting at the water district headquarters.

The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) will be meeting at 5 p.m. today to vote on the preferred site for the . 

Staff presented the latest information on the project during the June 12 board meeting.

The tank is part of the District's Backbone Improvement Project, a long-term strategy to improve water service across the district and to provide capacity for future development in the region.

LVMWD provides potable water to residents and businesses in the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Westlake Village and adjacent unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County including Chatsworth and the Santa Monica Mountains.

It is also anticipated that the hiring of a consultant to perform the design will also be authorized during tonight's meeting.
