Commencement ceremonies haven’t taken place at Pierce College yet, but registration for fall courses has already begun.
With it’s line-up of classes in everything from accounting to welding, the school offers selections for students looking to complete lower division general education requirements before transferring to a university; those seeking to learn vocational skills; and even those who’d like to take a class or two just because they’ve always been interested in, say, the anthropology of religion, magic and witchcraft (which, by the way, is offered from 11:10 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays).
A complete schedule of classes is available for download on Pierce College's schedules page, where you can also apply for admission and register for classes. On the school’s schedule page, you can also select to see just open classes, short-term classes, weekend classes and off-campus classes. The school’s general catalog is also available on the page.
To apply, visit the Pierce College admissions page. The enrollment fee for California residents is $46 per unit. For out-of-state students, it’s $190 plus $46 per unit; for foreign students it’s $212 plus $46 per unit. Other fees include an Associated Students organization membership fee of $7, a student representation fee of $1, a health services fee of $11, and a parking fee of $20 for regular parking or $27 for preferred spots.
The fall term runs from Aug. 27 to Dec. 16.
It’s not too late to sign up for summer classes, although many of them are already filled. The summer session begins June 25 and enrollment fees are also $46 per unit. Various fees also apply.
