A pair of car burglaries and a shoplifting incident at a local beauty product store top this week's reported crimes.

Vehicle burglary at Malibu Creek State Park

The vehicle burglary happened sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., deputies said.

The victim said she locked her vehicle and went to go for a hike. When she returned, she noticed that the rear passenger window was smashed, a deputy's report read.

A $400 Longchamp black leather purse, a $500 pair of Jimmy Choo sunglasses and a $200 black leather Marc Jacobs wallet were taken from the car, according to the report.

There were no witnesses.

A car radio was stolen from a vehicle parked at on April 3, deputies said.

The theft occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., deputies said.

The victim said he had locked his car, though he believes the burglar might have used a Slim Jim lock pick to gain entry. Deputies were unable to find any signs of forced entry.

The burglar tore the radio out of the car, damaging the dashboard, a deputy's report read. Deputies were unable to find any witnesses.

Two women were caught shoplifting by employees at on April 10, though no arrests were made, deputies said.

Around 4 p.m., two women entered the store and began browsing items. One of the women set off a store alarm when she tried to exit the store and had her bag searched by a store employee, a deputy's report read.

The employee found a $10 dye product that was not paid for, according to the report. At that time, the woman said she would pay for the item and did with a credit card. The employee said she would provide deputies with a copy of the receipt at a later date.

The second female shoplifter, described only as wearing a white shirt with blue jeans, managed to leave the store without being stopped. It's unknown at this time what items she stole.

Tech items stolen in car burglary

More than $2,000 worth of computer and camera gear was stolen from a car parked in the 5800 block of Las Virgenes Road, deputies said.

The burglary took place sometime between 8:30 p.m. on April 2 and 7 a.m. on April 3, according to a deputy's report.

Upon returning to her car in the morning, the victim said she noticed that an $1,100 Sony Viao, an $850 Nikon Camera D80 SLR and a $650 camera lens were stolen, deputies said.

The victim said she was certain she locked the car, but deputies did not find any signs of forced entry.

There were no witnesses.
