Mountains Restoration Trust Names New Head Director

Debbie Bruschaber served as acting director of the nonprofit environmental land trust for the past year.

The (MRT) Board of Trustees announced that Debbie Bruschaber will become the executive director for the nonprofit environmental land trust. Having served for the past year as Acting Executive Director, Bruschaber will now lead MRT’s environmental efforts in the Santa Monica Mountains.

“Debbie was the obvious choice to fill the position given her demonstrated inter-agency expertise in accomplishing land acquisition, preservation and restoration,” said MRT Board President Steve Hess. “Her passion for environmental stewardship made her the enthusiastic and confident choice of the entire Board.”

Bruschaber has over 30 years experience in all aspects of the real estate industry and has spent the last 16 years focusing on improving water quality, habitat restoration and acquisitions. Joining MRT in 2001, she was instrumental in establishing Headwaters Corner at Calabasas, an environmental interpretive center where MRT is headquartered.
