Community Center Seeking Student Board Members

The Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center has a position open on its Board of Directors for a non-voting high school student member.

Joint Powers Authority is accepting applications for the Calabasas Student Member position on its board of directors. The AHCCC JPA Board of Directors act as the governing and policy making body of the Authority in the operations, control, improvements and planning of the Center, personnel and fiscal operations. Student members are non-voting members appointed to the board to advise them on issues impacting the youth of the community and to gain knowledge and experience while being a part of the government process.

The deadline for applications is Friday, September 14th. The non-voting student members will serve the term September 27, 2012 through August 2013, unless appointed to terms of different durations by the Joint Powers Authority. The term begins immediately upon appointment.

Individuals interested in serving and being considered for appointment to the student member position should submit an application by 5 p.m., Friday, September 14.

Applicants must be a high school student during the 2012/2013 school year and be a resident of Calabasas to represent.
