Calabasas Pushes for Peaceful Co-Existence With Coyotes

New coyote management plan approved last week by the Calabasas City Council bans the use of city funds for trapping the animals.

Increased coyote sightings in the Los Angeles area have some residents concerned, but unlike most other communities in the greater Los Angeles area, Calabasas is choosing an alternative to trapping and hunting the animals. 

Despite fears of coyote attacks, only one pet attack and no human attacks have been reported in nearly a decade, said Calabasas Councilman Fred Gaines.
