Bob and Irene: A Love Story

Two shelter dogs found love among the kennels.

Irene, a 1-year-old pit bull mix, and Bob, a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, found love at the Agoura Hills Animal shelter, and their story is not like many you may have read.

They came into the shelter as strays, looking as if they had been on their own for quite awhile. It also appeared from the beginning that there was true affection between them. They are easy to leash, take treats nicely and may be housebroken, because they wait to go potty outside their kennel. At night, you will find them happily snuggled together on the same bed.

Their story of dedication and love for one another has won the hearts of shelter volunteers and everyone who comes into contact with them. Irene, with her affectionate, energetic and playful personality, and Bob, with his quiet yet curious nature and easygoing disposition, make for the perfect pair.
