5 Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 4

Pumpkin Patch Story Time at the library, rain returns and a chance to tour the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District.

  1. The will conduct a tour of its portable water distribution facilities on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Advance registration is required by signing up at www.LVMWD.com or by calling 818-252-2200 during regular business hours.
  2. It's Pumpkin Patch Story Time at the Calabasas Library at 10:30 a.m. for children under the age of three.
  3. Learn tortilla making, roping, butter churning and other 19th century activities during Hands on History Day at the on Saturday. The event is being held from 1-4 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children.
  4. Registration is now open for the spring United States Youth Volleyball Camp at Chaparral Elementary School. The eight-week program for boys and girls ages 7-15 begins next March and costs $125.
  5. There's a 90 percent chance for showers today with a high of 58, according to the National Weather Service.
