'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' event for kids, holiday donation drop off and open jam night.

  1. Kids in grades four or higher are invited to the to celebrate the release of Cabin Fever, the latest book in the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Young readers can enjoy trivia, games and snacks. The free event begins at 4 p.m.
  2. The Kiwanis Club Calabasas-Agoura and nonprofit Learning Through Doing Adventures is hosting its 4th Annual HOPE for Kids & Familes Holiday Drive from Nov. 30 through Dec. 15. Drop off toys, video games, sporting equipment, books and clothes at the following locations:

  3. Friday is the last day to submit nominations for the annual Carl Gibbs Environmental Excellence Award. The honor recognizes business or nonprofits that have done work in the city of Calabasas that resulted in "cleaner air or water, less waste, less traffic, conservation of energy and natural resources, efficient and water conserving landscaping, or reduced use of hazardous materials."
  4. Bring your guitars, vocals, picks and sticks to the Sagebrush Cantina at 8:30 p.m. for open jam night.
  5. Today will be sunny with a high of 77, according to the National Weather Service.
