5 Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 3

Yoga at the library, the Planning Commission meets and Study Buddies.

  1. A free lunchtime yoga class will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Calabasas Library. The course, dubbed "Yoga & You: Treat Your Mind, Body & Spirit," will be taught by yoga instructor Deanne Wenger. Bring your own yoga mat or a large towel and a bottle of water.   2. The city's Planning Commission is continuing its discussion of recommending granting the local Gelson's Market permission to hold wine tasting events. The commission meets at 7 p.m. inside
  3. Registration is now open for the spring United States Youth Volleyball Camp at Chaparral Elementary School. The eight-week program for boys and girls ages 7-15 begins next March and costs $125.
  4. Are you an elementary or middle school student in need of homework help? Brainy Calabasas High students are here to tutor you. Study Buddies will convene at the library at 3:30 p.m.
  5. Today will be cloudy with a high of 75, according to the National Weather Service.
